Welcome to the AdvisorTarget privacy rights portal.  This page tells you how to exercise your privacy rights with respect to the Personal Information that we collect for our own business purposes.

If we have collected or received your Personal Information in our capacity as a service provider to an AdvisorTarget client with which you have a relationship, that company can assist you with requests related to exercising your privacy rights, as AdvisorTarget cannot fulfill these requests directly.  We suggest you reach out to such company to learn more about its privacy practices and to exercise your rights.  AdvisorTarget supports its clients as needed to help them respond to such requests.  For scenarios where AdvisorTarget processes your personal information for its own purposes, you may be entitled to certain rights, as set forth below.

• DO NOT SELL. You have the right to opt-out of our sale of your Personal Information. AdvisorTarget includes certain Personal Information about financial advisors and their practices in reports it sells to its clients. If you would like to opt-out of our sale of your Personal Information, please complete and submit a Privacy Request Form available at Privacy Request Form.  To opt out of AdvisorTarget’s sale of Personal Information that is collected by cookies or other tracking technologies, you may disable our Targeting Advertising Cookies

• DO NOT SHARE. You have the right to opt-out of our sharing of your information for cross contextual behavioral advertising. Exercise this right by disabling our Targeting Advertising Cookies.

• ONLINE TARGETED ADVERTISING. You have the right to object to our use of your information for online targeted advertising. Exercise this right by disabling our Targeting Advertising Cookies.

• PROFILING AND AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING. You have the right to object to our use of profiling and/or automated decision that significantly affects you. However, AdvisorTarget does not use any profiling or automated decision-making tools that significantly affect individuals.  Exercise this right by disabling our Targeting Advertising Cookies

• MARKETING OPT-OUTS. You have the right to opt-out of our marketing and commercial communications, including our FinSum newsletters.

• To opt-out of receiving these communications, click the link labeled “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any email we send you.

• To revoke permissions that you may have given to send text messages, text STOP in response to any text message.

If you have more than one email address or if you have changed your email address, please complete and submit a Privacy Request Form available at Privacy Request Form.  Please note that even if you opt-out of commercial emails and newsletters, we may still need to contact you with important transactional information about your account.

• SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION. California residents have the right to limit secondary uses and disclosures of sensitive Personal Information. • ACCESS REQUESTS. You have the right to request a copy of the Personal Information that AdvisorTarget maintains about you. To exercise this right, please complete and submit a Privacy Request Form available at Privacy Request Form  We will provide you with access to your information as required by law.  We will need to verify your identity before we can process your request.

• CORRECTION REQUESTS. You have the right to request that we update or correct your Personal Information. To exercise this right, please complete and submit a Privacy Request Form available at Privacy Request Form  We will process your request as required by law.  We will need to verify your identity before we can process your request.

• DELETION REQUESTS. You have the right to request that we delete or anonymize your Personal Information. To exercise this right, please complete and submit a Privacy Request Form available at Privacy Request Form.  We will process your request as required by law.  We will need to verify your identity before we can process your request.  Please understand that AdvisorTarget cannot delete Personal Information in those situations where our retention is required for our internal business purposes, where we retain Personal Information on behalf of our clients in accordance with their instructions, or otherwise permitted by law (such as for fraud prevention or legal compliance).

• INQUIRIES AND COMPLAINTS. You have the right to ask us about our privacy practices or to lodge a complaint if you believe that we have violated your privacy rights or failed to properly secure your Personal Information. • DANIEL’S LAW REQUESTS. Certain New Jersey active and retired law enforcement personnel and other persons covered by Daniel’s Law have the right to request that companies not disclose or re-disclose their home addresses and unpublished telephone numbers on the Internet, or otherwise make such information available. AdvisorTarget does not disclose or re-disclose any home addresses or other personal information subject to Daniel’s Law on the Internet and does not otherwise make the information available. AdvisorTarget is not a data broker.
