None other than Karl Rove has just published an article in the WSJ warning of the dangers of special counsels. Rove points out the danger that Trump faces from the Robert Mueller-led special counsel investigating him. Rove essentially equates the current investigation to a witch hunt, and says that even if Mueller finds no evidence against Trump, the counsel will probably carry on trying to nail someone for something. He also warns that Trump needs to be careful of testifying in Washington, or having a court case there, as Trump got just 4% of the vote in the district and the jury will not be sympathetic.
FINSUM: The last point is the most salient in this article—that if Trump has a court case in Washington D.C. he is likely to lose merely because of his lack of popularity with the population.
